FINDON SHEEP FAIR & VILLAGE FESTIVAL

Each year during the second weekend in September, the Findon Sheep Fair and Village Festival takes place at Nepcote Green in the village of Findon in West Sussex

FINDON SHEEP FAIR & VILLAGE FESTIVAL

There are craft stalls, sheep displays, sheep judging, a funfair, food stalls, live displays, a beer tent and many other displays and attractions on the green.

FINDON SHEEP FAIR & VILLAGE FESTIVAL

The sheep judging show attracts farmers from across the south of England, and judges countrywide. There are approx 300 sheep representing over 35 different breeds

FINDON SHEEP FAIR & VILLAGE FESTIVAL

Admission is free on the Saturday attracting up to 7000 visitors. On the Friday and Saturday evening there are dances in the marquee which are ticket only entry.

To help encourage future generations to take an interest in sheep handling and even sheep farming, we have a competition for Young Handlers from as young as 6 years old

It is only with the support of the public, sponsors, and not least the volunteers that this long lasting event can continue and be enjoyed by future generations

The sheep fair has been running for over 230 years. Originally sheep were auctioned, but it is now less viable in a climate of strict regulation so sheep are just shown
